The Size of Screening Mesh Can Affect Efficiency of Rotary Vibrating Screen

For certain materials, the screening machine productivity depends on the width of the screening mesh whereas the effectiveness is depends on the length of screening mesh. The larger the width of the screening mesh, the thinner the thickness of the material layer, the bigger the length of the mesh can have longer sieving time. The thickness of the material layer can be reduced to increase the screening period which can improve the efficiency of the screening. 

When the screening mesh surface is narrow and long, the thickness of the material layer increased. The fine materials are unable been sieved effectively. In another situation where the screening mesh s width and short, the thickness of material layer reduced, this enables the fine materials to sieve through the mesh easily. This reduced the residence time of the material on the mesh and probability of sieving. Hence, this reduced the efficiency of the screening. Thus, the optimum ratio of the length and width of the screen mesh is 2:3. 

The source of vibration of rotary vibrating screen is by eccentric weight on the upper and lower ends of the motion generation shaft. The angle of lead is given by lower weight with relation to upper weight provides variable control of the spiral screening pattern. In general, the screening machines are installed slightly inclined to ease the discharge of materials. The inclination needed to be at right angle. If the angle is too small, the screen surface material movement is too slow although high screening efficiency, it reduces the productivity. Conversely, if the inclination angle too big, it discharge material too fast, and this reduced the screening efficiency. The screening mesh needed to be periodically check whether it wear and tear or broken. When the sieve mesh hole is blocked, it reduced the screening efficiency.
